Small region.
Deep impact.
For over thirty years, we have worked to address the root causes of poverty across the 15 square kilometres of the Tansa Valley. From the beginning, we chose depth over scale—focusing on sustainable, community-led solutions that create lasting impact.
“Prasad” is a Sanskrit word, which means “a gift that carries blessings” both for the one who gives and for the one who receives. We recognize that giving is as transformative as receiving. “PRASAD Chikitsa” means “a divine gift of diagnosis and cure.” This belief informs all our charitable activities. We are committed to bettering the lives of people and tribal communities in the Tansa Valley, Ganeshpuri in Maharashtra, India, by partnering with them. Our programmes nourish village communities through holistic, tailor-made developmental solutions, which promote self-reliance and sustainability.
Our work is holistic
When a hungry child is nourished, they can learn. When a mother regains her health, she can provide for her family. And when communities have the tools they need, they can build a thriving future – together.
That’s why we work hand-in-hand with each village to nurture every aspect of wellbeing – physical, emotional, social, and economic. Because when every part of life is cared for, lasting transformation is possible.
Caring for and benefiting the whole person, taking into account physical and mental health and social and economic factors, rather than focusing on just one aspect.
Our work is sustainable
We help people become self-reliant by meeting their immediate needs while providing for future generations. Our programs are designed for communities to own and sustain themselves. The greatest measure of our success is when villages thrive independently – equipped with the tools, knowledge, and skills they’ve gained along the way.
All of this is possible because of the trust communities place in us – and the strength they find in themselves.

We envision healthy communities thriving and enjoying a higher quality of life in harmony with the natural environment. To support this vision, we are committed to restoring and preserving the Tansa Valley by making environmental stewardship a guiding principle across all our programs.
